Join our panel for insights on economic trends, supply-demand, prices, and how to apply these insights to your own operations. Learn about new markets for transitional organic row crops, and develop a marketing plan that is integrated with your organic farm plan. Additional topics include hiring an agent, choosing the right crops, and the benefits of a producer-friendly contract.

John Bobbe, author of the new book, Organic Grain Marketing, A Farmers Guide, heads the Organic Farmers’ Agency for Relationship Marketing (OFARM), which serves farmers in 19 states. He has taught college-level economics and agriculture, and holds a master’s degree in agricultural economics from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Tim Boortz markets organic grain and hay for members from Montana to Ohio. His background in sales as well as management of a 3,300-acre organic farm gives him a unique perspective on marketing organic grain.

Kellee James is founder of Mercaris, a market data service and trading platform for organic crops. A former White House Fellow, she was an economist at the first trading platform for carbon credits generated from farm management techniques like methane capture and soil carbon storage.
