In this time of weather and market extremes, organic crop insurance options have recently undergone some significant changes. While there are a variety of attractive options for organic producers, there are some important new options that this session will explore. Whether you have a few or many acres, or grow produce commodity crops or livestock, there are crop insurance options for your farm. Paul Mitchell of the University of Wisconsin Extension and Jeff Schahczenski of the National Center for Appropriate Technology will take you through the various programs and alternatives in an easy to understand way to help you choose the crop insurance type that works best for you.
