As global temperatures continue to rise farmers are faced with new production challenges at an ever increasing rate. We will discuss the impact of rising temperatures on: the influx of invasive pest species, management of traditional weeds and pests, as well as unexpected impacts on crops using Great Lakes region tree fruit as an example system. We will also review the biology and ecology behind why these systems are shifting in response to climate change and discuss strategies for adapting to these shifts.
