Saturday II – 2 p.m.
Raising grass-fed beef offers producers a low cost, environmentally friendly way to create a sustainable and profitable operation. Driven by strong demand from consumers for healthy beef products, grass-based agriculture is not a trend, but the future of the beef industry.   This workshop covers all critical aspects of successful grass-fed beef operations: from cattle genetics, fencing and watering, financial analysis and budgeting, to marketing the end product. We will discuss the positive economic and environmental outcomes of a properly managed holistic grazing operation and provide real life on-farm economic data supporting the financial validity of grass-fed beef production.
