Lisa Kivirist and John Ivanko own the award-winning Inn Serendipity Farm and B&B outside Monroe, Wis., a diversified farm operation completely powered by the wind and sun. They have co-authored several books, including Farmstead Chef. Their new book, Homemade for Sale, is the first authoritative guide to setting up a food business from a home kitchen. Kivirist also leads the MOSES Rural Women’s Project.
Paul and Chris Burkhouse have run Foxtail Farm CSA for 17 years, selling solely through a winter CSA for the last two years. Their eight winter deliveries include vegetables from season extension, fresh greens from hoop houses, storage crops from extensive root cellars and value-added items from their licensed processing kitchen.
