Saturday Session III

Spotted Wing Drosophila (SWD) is challenging fruit and berry growers across the country. Learn about organic management strategies from multi-state research, plus new data on monitoring and trapping, habitat manipulation, exclusion, and organic-approved pest management products.

Mary Rogers specializes in sustainable and organic horticultural food production systems at the University of Minnesota. Her research program investigates plant‐insect interactions and biological and environmental strategies to improve the production and quality of organic horticultural crops.

Aaron Wills and his wife started Little Hill Berry Farm in Northfield, Minn. in 2011. They currently grow 3.5 acres of certified organic blueberries sold primarily through u-pick, plus wholesale and restaurant accounts.
