Learn about the current state of organic grain markets and ongoing concerns about fraudulent imports. We’ll discuss ideas to tighten international supply chains and grow a more profitable organic grain sector that guarantees integrity.
Thea O’Carroll is the founder and CEO of YieldOrganic, an online marketplace for organic and non-GMO crops. She is a fourth-generation farmer from northeast Nebraska. She is also the voice behind the Organic Advocate podcast.
John Bobbe is the executive director of OFARM, an organic grain- and livestock-marketing cooperative. He is the author of Marketing Organic Grain, A Farmers Guide. He and his wife reside on their third-generation farm in Scandinavia, Wis.
Carmen Fernholz has been an organic farmer for 45 years. His farm near Madison, Minn., has 425 acres certified organic with another 80 acres going into organic transition in 2018. He is vice chairman of OFARM, and recently retired from the University of Minnesota as organic research coordinator.
Bob Stuczynski and his family farm 330 acres of organic grains and hay in Amherst, Wis. He is a member of the Wisconsin Organic Marketing Alliance (WOMA) and OFARM.
