Workshop audio recording from the 2016 MOSES Organic Farming Conference.

Adam Cullip and Steve Pincus
Friday 2a

By selecting the appropriate tool for each task, you can increase yields and improve crop quality. We will cover options from hand tools to tractors for fresh market vegetable farms. We’ll also share details to help you decide which type of equipment will work best for your farming system.

Adam Cullip and his wife, Laura Frerichs, own and operate Loon Organics, a 40-acre certified organic vegetable farm in Hutchinson, Minn. They market through a 200-member CSA, the Mill City Farmers Market, and wholesale accounts. He has a passion for low-cost equipment solutions and has converted three tractors to electric power.

Steve Pincus has farmed fresh produce for 40 years. He and his wife, Beth Kazmar, run Tipi Produce near Madison, WI. They grow 45 acres of vegetables, selling mainly through CSA and to natural food stores. They are the 2016 MOSES Organic Farmers of the Year!
